- If all else fails, try to give items away on Craig's List, Freecycle, or Facebook.
- Bull City Shares is a Facebook group where you can give pretty much anything away. This is a closed group that you have to request to join.
- The Scrap Exchange takes ALL kinds of things that are still usable.
- The city of Durham has a Swap Shop located at the Household Hazardous Waste Center where you can drop off most anything still usable for someone else to give it another life.
- Local thift stores take most things that can be resold if they are in good condition:
